For those who like their countryside break with a side of excitement, Wall End Farm is surrounded by some fantastic high-octane experiences. One of our favourite ways to spend a sunny afternoon is on the water with the Wye Valley Canoe Centre. Paddling down the River Wye with the Black Mountains as your backdrop is an experience you won’t forget—and there are plenty of spots along the riverbank to pull over for a picnic.
If you’re more of a “land-lubber,” head over to the Herefordshire Raceway to test your nerves on their outdoor go-karting track, or visit the Phil Price Rally School for some world-class off-road training. For a truly unique perspective of the Marches, you can even take to the skies. Shobdon Airfield is only five miles from our gate and offers trial flying lessons in gliders and aeroplanes. Alternatively, if you prefer a four-legged adventure, Tregoyd Riding near Hay-on-Wye offers beautiful hacks through the local hills.
