Welcome to Wall End Farm
Comfortable & stylish accommodation in Monkland, Leominster
Set adjacent to a working farm on the North Herefordshire and South Shropshire border, we have three unique and enjoyable holiday retreats. In the Farmhouse we offer a spacious guest room with its own sitting room and both the two holiday lets, The Hop Kiln and The Hayloft, have been beautifully converted to create two comfortable, unique and attractive self-contained properties, sleeping upto six guests. Great care has been taken in the renovation to perfectly blend the traditional exposed beams and brickwork with stylish, modern fixtures. The result creates a comfortable, cosy and enjoyable retreat for our guests.
The Hop Kiln (sleeps 4) features a unique circular sitting room and bedroom in what was once the drying room of the former kiln. Just around the corner is the Hayloft (sleeps 2), a completely self-contained, first floor apartment accessed via private external stairway with an outside sitting area. The Hop Kiln has a large enclosed lawned garden with glorious views over the cider apple orchard. There is plenty of space inside and out to be enjoyed with family and friends.
The Farmhouse, Hop Kiln and Hayloft are set within deep countryside, the ideal location for avid walkers and cyclists. The owners' farmland offers some lovely walks, fishing is available on the River Arrow at an additional charge and there is access to an outdoor tennis court which can be arranged through the owner. The properties are on the famous 40 mile circular Black and White Trail, which is characterised by the rich landscapes and many picturesque timbered and half-timbered houses in the area. Close by are an array of country pubs and restaurants, as well as numerous apple and cider distilleries. Within 2 miles there are also several supermarkets and local amenities, you can also enjoy a short walk into the village where there is a working dairy and excellent tea room. Wall End Farm is approximately 10 miles from the cathedral city of Hereford to the south and 10 miles from the ancient market town of Ludlow to the North. Both are full of history, good restaurants and good shopping.
All the properties are separate to each other to enable guests to holiday independently from one another and enjoy our beautiful countryside and visit our local historic houses, castles and towns. The Hop Kiln and Hayloft are fully equipped as self catering properties complete with wonderful beds, excellent white linen and soft bathroom towels, both also have their own outside space. The Farmhouse is run as a B&B, but can also provide accommodation for extra family members or friends of those staying at either of the two holiday lets.
We can sleep 8 guests between the three properties which creates a great way to be with family or friends but also have time to oneself.
